History

In 1987 a group of people started meeting for bible study in Lebanon. Soon the group had grown to over fifteen people and it became evident that the Lord was leading us to start a church. In September of 1988 the Lebanon bible Church was formed and met in the Lebanon Elementary School’s gymnasium.

Ron Denlinger was our first pastor. Due to severe illnesses with the Denlinger children, in 1989, Pastor Denlinger found it necessary to return to their extended family in Pennsylvania. At that time Ed Howry filled in as Interim Pastor and helped us find Mike Brubaker who became our Pastor in January of 1990.

In 1992 our church started renting the Synagogue building located on Goshen Hill Road in Lebanon. In 1995 we purchased the property and in that same year Pastor Brubaker started a church in Colchester. Art Langdon became our Pastor as an interim in October of 1995 and stayed on as pastor until he retired in March of 2011.

In June 2010 we asked Roger Hemingway to join us as the Associate Pastor to organize youth ministries, help the pastor where needed and to eventually take the pastorate when Art retires. Roger became our Pastor in July of 2011 upon Art Langdon’s retirement.
