Pastor Roger Hemingway graduated from Word of Life Bible Institute in 1996 with a one year Bible certificate. After graduating from Word of Life he did his internship with Christian Fellowship Church in Scotland Connecticut under Pastor Delton (Sonny) Stimson. He then attended Appalachian Bible College where he received his bachelors in Bible and Theology in 2004. In 2010 he joined our staff as the Associate Pastor and assumed the role of Senior Pastor in July of 2011.
Roger was born and raised his whole life in Connecticut. Saved in 1993 at the age of 27 he started attending Christian Fellowship Church where he was mentored by the Assistant Pastor for a little over one year before attending Word of Life. From the time he was saved he knew that God had something for him other than sitting in a pew. As time went on it became evident that God was calling him to serve as a pastor. From the very beginning Roger was very active in every aspect of service in the local church. He has spent many years serving as a teen leader, starting and teaching Sunday Schools, preaching, leading prayer meetings, teaching Bible studies, mentoring individuals, door to door evangelism, nursery and just about anything that needed to be done.
In 1994 Roger married the love of his life Vicki and they have five beautiful children.
